The Many Ways That ABAI Stays Connected to Serve You
ABAI staff is always thinking of ways to better communicate to keep candidates and diplomates informed about the Certification and MOC process. In addition to addressing phone and e-mail queries, and having a comprehensive website, staff has added to the range of methods used to keep you up-to-date on program developments, exam results, fees and deadlines. This also includes the use of social media networks to maximize exchange and exposure to important updates. Below are some of the methods ABAI uses to reach you and enhance your experience:
- AAAAI and ACAAI annual meetings These meetings afford ABAI candidates and diplomates the opportunity to meet face-to-face with ABAI staff in a convention setting that allows them to receive individual program requirements, CME status, and assistance with registering and navigating in the Web Portal
- ABAI Web Portal Each diplomate has a secure personalized Web Portal page in which to register for modules, upload CMEs, receive program updates and exam results, review ABAI e-mail notifications and manage their overall progress along the 10-year MOC timeline
- Diplomate Newsletter The newsletter summarizes annual program information and benchmarks while heralding major developments in the MOC program including new modules and policy. Both electronic and print versions give diplomates a glimpse into board milestones, while keeping them connected with a regular column from our president and new director biographies and diplomate features
- ABMS Meetings ABAI staff regularly attends and participates in ABMS-sponsored meetings and workshops centered on communication, exam development and security, and MOC policies. These meetings facilitate direct collaboration with fellow member boards to ensure ABMS standards and quality improvement in the processes and products of the ABAI
- Social Media Recognizing that social media also plays a significant role in professional networking, candidates and diplomates who regularly use these forms of communication can now receive regular ABAI updates and stay connected to colleagues.
