New Dimension for Diplomates to Earn CMEs
ABAI in conjunction with major Allergy and immunology journals have approved a new MOC program feature that offers an added dimension for ABAI Diplomates to earn MOC Part II Self-Assessment CME credit.
Diplomates can now make use of major allergy and immunology subspecialty journals to attain AMA Category I PRA Credit(s)TM for successful completion of the activity as follows:
- Review the target audience, learning objectives and author disclosures
- Complete the pre-test
- Read the article, either in print or online at JACI
- Complete the post-test. At this time, you will have earned 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM
- Approximately 4 weeks later you will receive an online assessment of your application of this article to your practice. Once you have completed this assessment, you will be eligible to receive Part II MOC Self-Assessment credit from ABAI.
Subsequently, diplomates are responsible to upload the CME certificate into their ABAI Web Portal page or submit via fax to ABAI where they will be granted one additional CME credit for a total of two per article once received and approved by ABAI. This activity will help diplomates to earn a minimum of 8 self-assessment MOC credits per year, which will be required beginning January 1, 2012.
