ABAI Recognizes Departing Directors

During the recent November ABAI Board of Directors annual meeting, the Board recognized four outstanding Directors concluding distinguished service on the Board.

The Board was especially pleased to recognize Dr. Mariana Castells, Dr. Corinne Keet, Dr. Aidan Long and Dr. Wanda Phipatanakul in front of many family members.
These celebrated Directors provided selfless service and outstanding leadership during their 2018-2023 terms. They were instrumental in helping the Board transform the ABAI Maintenance of Certification program and overcame the immense challenges of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
Well beyond contributing their respective clinical and research expertise in aspects of the specialty, these leaders directly contributed to the Board’s first ever strategic plan, successful launch of the Continuous Assessment Program (CAP), and a blueprint revision increasing relevance and clinical focus of all assessments. It is notable that all of these Directors served on and/or led at least 5 different committees during their terms.
ABAI is forever indebted to Dr.’s Castells, Keet, Long and Phipatanakul for their endless dedication and leadership.
