ABAI Thanks Outgoing Chair Dr. Mitchell Lester

On behalf of the ABAI Board of Directors and all diplomates, I would like to congratulate Dr. Mitchell Lester on his immensely successful term as Chair of the ABAI Board of Directors.
Under Dr. Lester, the ABAI Board completed a comprehensive bylaws revision, enhanced CAP item development process and outcomes, achieved compliance with extensive continuing certification standards of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and maintained sound financial standing of the Board without raising fees.
ABAI also sponsored its first ever ABMS Scholars position following through on its commitment to study continuing certification program effectiveness and outcomes. In addition, the ABAI embarked on a new welcome package for new diplomates recognizing initial certification achievement and providing a soft landing for new diplomates.
Dr. Lester was honored at the Fall Board of Directors meeting, and we thank him for his leadership, dedication and selfless service.
